Breed Dog
What breed/dog group is a reliable companion and is a good guard dog?
I am looking for a dog, any breed in any of the following groups: Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding, Misc Class, that best fits the following classifications;
-Alert watchdog or guard dog; protective (tell me how does it react to a strange; does it threatens, or just bark?)
-Reliable companion for both owner and family (why? what traits confirm this?)
I’m more in favor of large dogs similar to wolves, such as the Alaskan Malamute, and the other small toy dogs like the Pomeranian. Although these may or may not fit the catergories above, I think the American Eskimo is best? Confirm that please.

Large Dog
I have a large dog that eats my walls when i’m gone. Does anyone know of any good indoor dog fences?
My dog is a large pitbull that likes to chew on things when i’m not home. He is kennel trained, but I don’t like to leave him in there for a long time when i’m gone. I have seen a few indoor fenced in area type things. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on a good one.
Exercise pens, or “x-pens” can be used both indoors and out. Make sure you get one that your dog can’t climb or jump over, or get one with a top. I have a 5-pound dog that can jump and climb over a 36″ fence, but most larger dogs won’t even do that. They come up to 48″ high.
I think they are less expensive at this website than anywhere else I’ve seen, even though the shipping isn’t cheap:
