Favorite leash training method?
I was wondering what is the best leash training method to stop pulling?
Some special considerations with my dog:
1. He’s deaf.
2. He has a very sensitive trachea, and will “reverse cough” (he’s a boston terrier) when walked on his collar.
3. He has sensitive skin and thin hair, so a prong did not work for him. He ended up with pink sore spots on his neck (even nylon collars do this, he has a rolled leather kind now…)
I do NOT want to use any type of anti-pulling harness, I want him to actually learn how to walk.
Any links or book recommendations that explain your method would be fantastic 
Apparently the halti works well. We didn’t use it.
We just stopped every time our pitbull pulled and asked her to sit. Make the dog responsible for the loose leash. The leash should never be taut. We didn’t get anywhere fast and it was annoying, but it broke her of pulling.
To get her to walk by our side, we did circles, also time consuming, but worth it. When she walked ahead of us, we would turn in the opposite direction, take a step or two, then resume in the original direction.
These two methods sound painstakingly slow, but nothing is easy. You will find this information in use all over the internet. Our pitbull heels off leash with us now.

how much do dog walkers/cat sitters make and how long is the average walk? I was thinking of $25 a walk .?
I’m trying to start my own dog walking/sitting service and i need advice on the details of what other dog walkers charge and services they offer their clients? I’m also planning on doing cat sitting for people when they go on vacation
I had my own pet sitting business and I usually charged $15.00 per visit. This included a 20-25 minute walk, feeding, watering. Sometimes I would charge a little more if a 2nd pet was added on or I took the dog to the dog park for an hour or so. If I had to medicate, or do extensive watering I would charge a couple dollars more. I also did overnights and would charge $50-55 per night. It depends where you live, here in California people are willing to spend a lot on their pets. You should check with other sitters in your area and see what they charge and charge similarly. Don’t forget you will need to get bonded and have insurance. Here are some good websites to help you get started:

American born and bred, the Boston terrier is one of friendliest and most playful breeds around. They tend to make great companions for both children and other pets. Bostons are highly energetic, but do not have high exercise requirements. Their temperament is typically loving, with many being very affectionate and ready to give plenty of sloppy, Boston kisses.
The Boston’s tale
Around 1865, the coachmen of Boston’s wealthy elite began to interbreed fine dogs. A cross between and English terrier and a bulldog became a pup called Hooper’s Judge. Hooper was bred with a smaller female and their son with another smaller female, and that third generation male was bred with yet another smaller female. Out of their progeny mixed in with some French bulldogs, the Boston terrier was born. The breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club before the turn of the century, a mere 20 years after the first generation was born.
In 1979, the Boston terrier became the official dog of the State of Massachusetts.Â
Frame and function
This breed is stout and boxy with erect ears and very distinct markings. Bostons are either black, brindle, seal and white. Their ideal markings are a white chest, white band around the neck, and muzzle. Many people think that their markings look like formal wear and because of this they are often referred to as the “American gentleman.”
Health
Boston terriers do not have any major health concerns. They do have a propensity to develop cataracts, patellar luxation, and stenotic nares. In some Bostons there is the occasional case of deafness, hydrocephalus, and persistent right aortic arch. It is important to remember that this breed of dog does not tolerate the heat well. Their bulging eyes make them susceptible to corneal abrasions.
Upkeep
This lively dog requires daily interaction and exercise. Its exercise requirements are not extensive however and can be met with a short game or run around the back yard. Bostons are not meant to live in the outdoors. Being a short-haired breed, their coat only requires an occasional brushing to remove dead hairs.
