Joint Treats
how do you treat joint pain?
I sit for long hours at my job and use the computer constantly, all of my joints ache with pain. I dont get to get up and move around much. any advise for pain in the joints…all of them?
Not moving much can make a joint stiff and painful. If ALL of your joints ache, you would probably benefit from an evaluation from your doctor or a rheumatologist. I would begin by visiting your primary care physician. He can treat OA (osteoarthritis). If he suspects RA (rheumatoid arthritis) or one of the other 100+ types of arthritis, he might refer you to a rheumatologist.
Until you get to the doctor you could try getting more mild exercise and taking an OTC NSAID (such as motrin, aleve, advil, aspirin) or an OTC analgesic such as tylenol and see if one of those helps.

Buying a Dog Bed for your Large Breed
For those who own larger dog breeds, it is often difficult, not to mention expensive, to find the right accessories and items like dog beds. Luckily, there are a number of ways you can find better deals on beds for larger dogs without sacrificing quality.
There are a number of ways to fix the problem of beds for larger dogs, or at least help you find one that will work for both you and your dog. First off, think about how your dog sleeps. Do they toss and turn, roll, or, in the cases of many larger dogs, sprawl? This is especially important if your large breed is as large as a Great Dane. Next, think about your dog’s actual size and take measurements. Thus, instead of relying in the ‘for large breeds’ title, take your dog’s measurements before getting them a bed. This ensures you can truly get the right size bed for your dog, whether it is square or donut shaped bed.
You want to ensure you get material that is high-quality, preferable with memory foam padding and virgin fiber fill. Remember that larger dogs wear things like beds out faster because of their weight and habits; thus hardier outside materials like canvas and firm, memory-foam insides are some of your best options when looking for a larger bed.
Last but not least, think about the shape of your dog’s bed. While square is fine, there is a reason many dog beds are rounded. Donut shaped dog beds are quite popular because they fit almost any size or breed of dog and come with as many options. They can also be easier to place in a house and make your dog feel more comfortable.

Large Breed
There are several rare breeds of dogs that can still be found through out the world that are not accepted by any of the Kennel Clubs. The reason for this is that they are found in only one area or specific location. These dogs would be purebred lines were they acknowledged and registered as such.
Many of these lines are completely separate from other dog breeds and that inhibits cross breeding. Often these breeds are shown at Kennel Club events in an attempt to keep the breed from becoming extinct and to promote the acceptance by the Kennel Club.
One such breed is the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. This dog was originally bred by only one breeder and is only found in the southern portion of the United States. Originally bred to be a plantation dog, they closely resemble the traditional bulldog, except their ears and tails are longer,they have a short, wide muzzle. They have a stocky, thick body being broader across the chest, are extremely strong and weigh 60-90 pounds when full grown. Their short dense fur comes in a variety of colors from solids to multi. They are excellent guard dogs and watch dogs even though they are not a normally aggressive breed.
A Treeing Walking Coonhound is a hunter that has the ability to track, tree and alert hunters. Originally bred in the United States from English Foxhound and cross bred with other hounds to produce their large size. The result is a shorter coat and is usually white with black and brown markings with typical hound ears, face and body type.
The Berg Masco is bred in the Alpine Mountain area, and is a highly intelligent, gentle herder and is exceptional with children of all ages and sizes. This dog has long, flocked ringlet type fur requiring little care and shedding is minimal.
An Akbash Dog is also a flock guardian and herder that comes to us from Turkey. This magnificent animal is calm and intelligent and is headed for extinction. The dog is always white with a wide, noble head. A large dog, weighing in at approximately 120 pounds, the male is noticeably larger than the female.
Then we have the Dogue De Bordeaux. A large mastiff breed from France, this dog has been used in the breeding of several of the Europenan Mastiffs. They are devoted and protective, wonderful with children and incredibly adaptable to small living spaces.
The New Guinea Singing Dog was once thought to be extinct. It was re-discovered in the New Guinea wildlands in the 1950’s. This is an extremely rare and aggressive dog that will fight over territory and therefore is best as a single pet. This is a highly independent dog, very loyal and loving and playful with humans. Its name comes from the yowling cries it makes at sunrise and sunset.

Natural Pain
Looking for natural back pain relief?
I have been looking for a natural treatment for my lower back pain. The pain is sometimes unbearable, but at others it only aches. I have been doing yoga and pilates, but I still have back pain. The chiropractor helps, but it hurts so much to get an adjustment that i don’t know which is worse. Any suggestions? I’d like to be free of the $75 that the chiropractor charges.
I found this great resource for back pain treatment, including stuff for lower back pain. This healer wrote a book on how to do chiropractic adjustments on yourself, but without cracking! It’s really cool, I had problems with my neck, and now I can just adjust it even if I am waiting at a light or something. The back adjustments are a little more, but I helped my girlfriend a couple of days ago, and she’s fine now. We just followed the instructions and looked at the photos to see how to do it.
It turned out that my neck problem was because I ate too much sugar, believe it or not. Taht’s in the book too. You can download it, and it’s cheaper than a chiropractic visit.
